5 Years Later, Boulder Family Reunites With Cat

BOULDER, Colo. (CBS4) - It was a reunion five years and a couple thousand miles in the making as a cat missing from Boulder finally met her owners.

The Squires family flew out to New York to pick up their long lost cat, Willow. The cat got out of the house five years ago and somehow made it all the way to the Big Apple.

The Squires say they still have no idea how she strayed so far from home. A man found Willow on the streets and a local animal shelter was able to track down the owners through a microchip.

The family says Willow seemed a little heavier but appears to be well cared for.
