Airline Coalition Wants Vail Pledge For Help
VAIL, Colo. (AP) - A proposal asking Vail to pledge $30,000 to secure flights is running into headwinds from the Vail town council.
The coalition is seeking winter flights next year from Toronto, Washington and San Francisco. It also plans increased service in future years to cities including Chicago, Houston and Dallas.
According to the Vail Daily, the pledge would be used to pay airlines if the airline loses money on the flights.
Vail councilwoman Margaret Rogers says the town needs more information before it commits.
