Denver Teen Released From Hospital After Bear Mauling
ANCHORAGE, Alaska (CBS4)- The Denver teen who was mauled by a bear while on a outdoor trip to Alaska has been released from the hospital.
Sam Gottsegen, 17, was in a wilderness survival program with several other teenagers when their camp was attacked by a brown bear on July 23.
Gottsegen suffered two broken ribs, a collapsed lung and a bite to the head, along with claw marks over much of his body.
Another teen injured in the same attack remains in the hospital in fair condition.
