Broncos Wide Receiver Eric Decker Answers Fan Questions

As part of CBS4′s Xfinity Monday Live! broadcast each week sports fans get a chance to pose questions to the special guest. This week, Denver Broncos wide receiver Eric Decker was the guest, and he responded to questions on a variety of topics. Read the questions and his responses from the Riddle Me This segment of the show in the following transcript:

Natasha asks: Why did you pick football over baseball?

Eric Decker: Good question. Well, I did love baseball until they figured out my weakness and started throwing me curveballs, and I kept striking out. Then I figured out, "Well, I'm a little better at football, so I'm going to stick to that." And I'm happy that I did.

Lisa asks: Who is your favorite professional athlete?

Eric Decker: I would say Jerry Rice. You know, a Hall of Famer, a guy who really demonstrates the work ethic. In the offseason, he always did the right things. On the field, he would catch the ball and finish all the way to the end zone. And those are the small things, the little details that really separate you as a wide receiver.

Alana and Alexis ask: Who is your favorite quarterback?

Eric Decker: That's a trick question, I think. My answer would be: Whoever is going to throw me the ball. That's who I want as quarterback.

Anonymous asks: Who is your favorite Disney princess and why?

Eric Decker: Princess Ariel. I'm a big "Little Mermaid" fan.

Anonymous asks: Who is the better superhero: Batman or Spider-Man?

Eric Decker: Wow, that's really tough. I really like the Batmobile, but I think being able to fly and being able to have that power to spurt out the strings or web — whatever it is — is pretty cool.
