EDWARDS, Colo. (AP) – Authorities are looking for help as they investigate the death of a man found dead in an irrigation ditch near Edwards.
The body of 38-year-old Christopher Don Hodenpel was found Friday. The Eagle County sheriff’s office said it appears the body had been there for several days and showed no sign of trauma.
They say Hodenpel was previously from Aurora and they’re looking for any information on him and why he was in Eagle County. He was about 5-foot-5, 125 pounds and of Korean descent.
Hodenpel’s body was discovered after a crew doing maintenance work in the ditch found a backpack containing some personal property, including some cash. They called the sheriff’s office and a deputy who searched the area found the body.
