House Burns Quickly In Aurora

AURORA, Colo. (CBS4) - Aurora firefighters say it's been a while since they've seen a house fire burn so quickly.

At about 11:30 p.m. on Saturday firefighters rushed to the 4200 block of South Quemoy Court. They found smoke billowing from a home and flames shooting from an attached garage.

Neighbors say they heard the structure burning.

"(We heard) some loud popping and just looked outside and saw the entire garage full of flames, and within three minutes the entire house was up," neighbor Matthew Sullivan said.

Firefighters kept the fire from spreading to nearby homes.

The cause is being investigated and damage is estimated at $400,000.
