Students Hit The Streets For Earth Day

DENVER (CBS) - Students from Edison Elementary and Brown International Academy hit the streets near their schools to clean up for Earth Day.

The students made some unique hats for the day -- all made out of recycled items they found in the trash.

Both schools are part of the Denver Public Schools composting program.

Since Edison joined it's gone from throwing away six backs of trash each night to a half bag.
