Health Of Coloradans On The Decline

DENVER (Denver Business Journal) -The overall health of the state is declining in a number of areas, especially among children, even as Coloradans remain largely active and fit, according to a new report.

That decline could prove costly, the Denver Business Journal's Ed Sealover reports. The 2010 Colorado Health Report Card, compiled by the Colorado Health Foundation, argues that the declining health of Coloradans could lead to a rise in health insurance premiums if the overall cost of medical care for workers increases. Declining health also decreases workplace productivity and increases employee absences.
