Blue Bell Ice Cream Expanding Into Denver
ENGLEWOOD, Colo. (CBS4)- Blue Bell Ice Cream is coming to Colorado. The Texas-based ice cream company is opening a distribution center in the metro area.
Blue Bell said to start with, about 20 people will be hired at the Englewood center. A temporary center is being leased in Henderson until the permanent facility is completed in Englewood.
Shoppers will be able to find Blue Bell Ice Cream in major chain stores starting next month, March 14.
There will be a special flavor just for Colorado, "Rocky Mountain Road."
Blue Bell will distribute to stores within a 100 mile radius of the distribution center.
Blue Bell is currently only sold in 20 states, but remains one of the best selling and popular brands.
