Hannah Walker moved to Denver in 2006 and immediately fell in love. She was inspired by the history and the people that surrounded her in the Mile High City. Walker works primarily in pastels, creating colorful images of people or things that have inspired her. Her work is highly imaginative, creative and colorful, as she brings snapshots of these various focuses to life. A look deeper and each portrait tells it’s own story.

The Sunday comics are as much a part of Americana as apple pie, and yet, it seems the art of comics is fading away. However, Spinadoodles is still alive and well, bringing a creative eye and a giggle to those that are lucky enough to find it. Created by Sam Spina, Spinadoodles are published in the Colorado Daily in Boulder or available on his website. Spina’s four-panel comic strips usually come from his own life and often refer to experiences from his job as a waiter.
