Denver is quickly becoming a hot destination for artists and creative types from around the globe. The scenic beauty, the history, the people, all of the things that make Denver unique also inspire hundreds of working artists every day. As new artists premier at galleries or online, Denver continues to inspire the next round. Hannah Walker moved to Denver in 2006 and immediately fell in love. She was inspired by the history and the people that surrounded her in the Mile High City. Walker works primarily in pastels, creating colorful images of people or things that have inspired her. Her work is highly imaginative, creative and colorful, as she brings snapshots of these various focuses to life. A look deeper and each portrait tells it's own story.

The Sunday comics are as much a part of Americana as apple pie, and yet, it seems the art of comics is fading away. However, Spinadoodles is still alive and well, bringing a creative eye and a giggle to those that are lucky enough to find it. Created by Sam Spina, Spinadoodles are published in the Colorado Daily in Boulder or available on his website. Spina's four-panel comic strips usually come from his own life and often refer to experiences from his job as a waiter.

Joseph Coniff is a conceptual artist making a huge name for himself in Denver. He was recently awarded the Best Emerging Artist Show from Westword's 2012 Best of Denver, and one look at his work makes it very easy to see why. Coniff's art is fascinating, taking modern objects or well-known pieces and making a statement or allowing them to speak to the viewer. His work is equal parts interesting and funny, and definitely worth a visit.
