Top Spots To Get Free Check-ups, Immunizations & Vaccinations In Denver

With school starting soon, health care and immunizations are just as important as ever. Unfortunately, health care is very expensive, and many families are either under-insured or do not have health insurance at all. These five places offer low-cost options for immunizations and health care, and they offer care for all ages, including low-income seniors.

Tri-County Health Department

Price: $14 per immunization

The Tri-County Health Department is one of the many places that offers low-cost immunizations for children up to age 18. Monday through Friday, children are seen on a walk-in basis, however appointments are accepted as well. In addition, the Tri-County Health Department holds a Saturday “Shots for Tots and Teens” clinics at various locations.

Price: $14 per shot, or by donation

The Denver Health Immunization Clinic participates in the Vaccines for Children program. This a federally funded program provides low-cost and free vaccines for children. To be eligible for the Vaccines for Children Program, your child must be on Medicaid, have no insurance, or be Native American or Alaskan native. The clinic accepts walk-ins Monday through Friday as well as appointments.

The Rocky Mountain Youth Clinics provide health care for children and teens throughout the Denver area regardless of insurance or ability to pay. It is a full-service clinic specializing in serving under-served youth, at-risk youth, and low-income or homeless families. In addition to medical care, the Rocky Mountain Youth Clinics offer mental health care and food assistance.

With 11 health clinics located all around the Denver area, the Metro Community Provider Network is helping people of all incomes get access to much-needed medical care. It offers services for all ages and covers everything from mental health to dental and general medical care. While all insurance is accepted, no one is turned away due to the inability to pay.

HealthSET is dedicated to providing free health clinics to low-income seniors throughout the Denver area. The program travels to 19 senior high-rise buildings to set up free health assessments and advocacy programs. Three registered nurses are sent to each location to give wellness assessments and monitor health problems. In addition, the nurses provide referrals to local area health care providers for low-income seniors. Call to find the location and time nearest you.
