Back by popular demand, this mega-hit musical is always a huge attraction in Denver. "Wicked" tells the lesser-known story of the Witches of Oz, long before Dorothy ever landed her house there. This is a huge musical with spectacular songs, lavish costumes and a fascinating plot that weaves very well-known characters into a completely new story. If you have never seen "Wicked," this is certainly a must- see.

This award-winning drama by well-known playwright Arthur Miller takes the Edge Stage for a one-month run. "A View From the Bridge" is an intense and absorbing drama about a longshoreman who takes two of his wife's Italian-immigrant cousins into his home. The Edge Theatre is a newer company to the Denver Theatre community, but it has certainly been making a name for itself with high quality and intimate productions that are well worth a visit to Lakewood.

This historically accurate comedy is based on the medical usage of vibrators to treat a medical condition in women known as ""hysteria." This comedy is a look at one doctor who provides the treatment and how this affects his household and his family. Two theatre companies are teaming up to present a lovable musical. "Forever Plaid" is being presented in repertory at the John Hand Theater in Lowry. This is a small-scale, fun and lively musical that features strong voices and great comedy. "Forever Plaid" is the story of a 50s singing group that got into a car accident on the way to their first gig. They are given one last chance to sing the show they never got to sing. "Forever Plaid" features five hilarious men that provide fantastic fun for the whole family.

Yes, it is the "Great American Trailer Park Musical," and it is sure to be a hilariously good time. This country-rock and blues musical is all about living in the trailer park. While it is very funny, it is does have quite a bit of heart, as it centers around two people whose marriage is threatened when a newcomer moves into the trailer park. Included is a Greek-chorus style group of women each bringing a different hilarious take on trailer park life.

If you have never taken the trip up to Golden to visit Miners Alley Playhouse, then here is another wonderful reason to go. "The Two of Us" is a touching compilation of four comedies all about the complexities of love and marriage. The stories are all touching, funny, relevant, and filled with comic timing and farcical situations. In addition, Miners Alley is simply a wonderful destination theatre, with a beautiful and welcoming lobby, a full bar, and one of the best views in all of Golden.

Spark Theater is probably the most intimate theater space in all of Colorado. With just 30 seats, you are sure to have a unique and fascinating evening of theatre. "Three Sisters" is the classic Chekov masterpiece all about the relationship between three sisters. It is a touching and heartwarming play that will be presented in a way that only Spark can present. This cozy theater is absolutely worth a visit, as there is truly nothing else like it.

Vintage Theatre recently announced it would be moving from its home at 17th and Vine, so the location of "Joy Luck Club" is soon to be determined. "The Joy Luck Club," based on the 1989 novel by Amy Tan and popularized by the 1993 film, this stage production is sure to be a heart-wrenching look into the lives of Chinese American family dynamics. Be sure to check the Vintage Theatre Website for their new location, as this is a theatre company worth following.
