If you need a gift or something for your own child, it's not hard to find a good toy store in Boulder. Many of the stores carry a wide selection and the shopping can be a fun experience for the kids, particularly Grandrabbit's Toy Shoppe, Playfair Toys, It's Your Move and Ginger And Pickles.

I love that kids can come here and play with everything! They have so many toys on display for kids to have a wonderful hands-on experience. The store is divided into sections by age group making it easier to shop. They also have a reading area with seating for kids and adults. The staff is always helpful if you are looking for a gift or something for your own child. The free gift wrapping is also nice.

This is another great specialty toy store in Boulder. Playfair feels smaller than Grandrabbit's, but it's also a great shopping experience for adults and kids with a number of hands-on displays. You can always find something unique including locally made toys and products.

This is a nice locally owned shop with tons of unique toys and gifts. Ginger and Pickles also carries clothing and shoes for younger kids. The staff is always friendly and knowledgeable especially when I was shopping for a small bicycle for my 2 year old daughter. The only drawback is the store does not appear to have a website or a way to see or order their merchandise online.

This is a great place to find your child games, puzzles and fun activities to keep them entertained.  I found a great chess set to teach my son how to play at the age of 5. If you are looking for a gift, this is also a nice place to visit.
