Ah, who knows food better than the French? And who knows French cooking better than Julia Child? Well, we’re not in France and Julia’s not here, so let’s see what options we have, shall we?

For French restaurants, Le Central gets most of the attention in town. Good reputation, good food, great atmosphere. It offers good value and variety on both the menu and the wine list.

Bistro Vendome has a lot to offer in terms of great food and tremendous service. Mussels are excellent as are the Steak Frites. There’s much to see, smell and enjoy.

Brasserie Felix

I love the Tennyson district (38th-44th) and this is one of the reasons why. Mussel Monday? Why not! Try the mussels in medium cream with tarragon and shallots. Brasserie Felix has excellent food and wine in a marvelous atmosphere.

Z Cuisine Bistro And A Cote Bar A Absinthe

2239 & 2245 W 30th Ave
Denver, CO 80211
(303) 477-1111

Price:

$$$

If you like to take your time with a magnificent meal, this is the place to do it. Give yourself over to the servers and let them direct you on your journey. Not much of my heritage is French, but what there is loves it here.
