Crews are bracing for erratic winds Monday afternoon as firefighters enter the tenth day fighting the Waldo Canyon Fire in Colorado Springs.
Fire crews continue to gain ground on the Waldo Canyon Fire burning in Colorado Springs. The fire was 25 percent contained on Friday afternoon and there had been no significant growth. More evacuations were lifted Friday at 8 p.m.
A handful of looting suspects have been arrested in the evacuation areas of Colorado Springs and surrounding subdivisions while the Waldo Canyon Fire burns just miles away.
Fire officials battling the Waldo Canyon Fire say they hope to make major progress in the effort to contain the blaze on Thursday.
Fire crews made some progress Friday on the Lower North Fork Fire. The containment was 70 percent Friday afternoon.
