Colorado’s pot regulators are trying to make sure the state’s marijuana growers aren’t producing more pot than they can legally sell – a hedge against Colorado-grown pot ending up in states where it’s not legal.
One of the more common criticisms of Colorado’s marijuana legalization has been edibles, or pot-infused food, that make their way into children’s hands.
The makers of marijuana edibles are required to undergo potency testing starting May 1.
The State of Colorado will start phasing in mandatory lab testing of marijuana edible products on May 1. Currently, marijuana product testing of any kind has been performed strictly on a voluntary basis.
