Celtics Halt Nuggets Streak With 3OT Win

The Boston Celtics relied on their veterans to help them win the matchup of the NBA’s two hottest teams.

Paul Pierce had 27 points, 14 rebounds and 14 assists and the Celtics extended their winning streak to seven games with a 118-114 triple overtime victory over the Denver Nuggets on Sunday.

Corey Brewer matched his career high with 27 points and the Denver Nuggets overcame a 40-point effort by Kobe Bryant to beat the Los Angeles Lakers 126-114 on Wednesday night for their seventh straight win at home.

Nuggets Escape Indianapolis With Three-Point Win

Denver’s Andre Miller brought back a blast from the past Friday night. The 36-year-old backup guard scored eight of his 15 points during a 10-0 run in the final three minutes, leading the Nuggets past the Indiana Pacers 92-89.
