Care 4 Colorado Toy Drive

This holiday season CBS4 is teaming up with King Soopers, 97.3 KBCO, and KOA NewsRadio to collect new toys and cash donations for children and youth served by the Boys & Girls Clubs of Metro Denver. King Soopers will begin collecting new, unwrapped toys at all Metro Area locations on Friday, November 27th and will continue to collect through December 24th. Viewers are encouraged to donate items such as toys, games, art kits, DVDs, video games, sporting equipment, electronics, helmets and other gifts for children and youth. All items will be distributed at Boys & Girls Clubs’ holiday parties so that every child gets a gift this year.

New, unwrapped toys can be dropped off at the CBS4 and iHeart Media Studios throughout the entire month of December.

University Of Denver Athletics
Once again this year, the University of Denver Division of Athletics and Recreation will help support the Care 4 Colorado Toy Drive by collecting toys at the University’s Daniel L. Ritchie Center before all hockey, women’s basketball, men’s basketball and gymnastics meets. Pioneer fans can drop off toys to representatives at any of the facility’s three concourse entrance locations before these competitions:

New Balance
New Balance stores will collect toys from November 23rd – December 13th at their two locations in Cherry Creek and Littleton. New Balance is giving $10 off a pair of shoes to everyone who brings in a new, unwrapped toy to either during those dates.

Join DU Athletics and Recreation and New Balance for a Care 4 Colorado Toy Drive on Saturday, December 5th. Toys can be dropped off at the Ritchie Center North Circle between 8am – 12pm.

The ViewHouse will collect toys to support the Care 4 Colorado Toy Drive at both the Ballpark and Centennial locations this holiday season. They will give a free Peppermint Godiva Chocolate Martini to anyone over the age of 21 who donates a toy at either location between November 25th – December 24th.

Sears Grand Thornton CO will have their local Friends and Family Event from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on December 13th. They are focusing on the community and will be collecting toys for the Care 4 Colorado Toy Drive. They also plan to collect clothes, coats and laundry soap to support a number of other organizations. They have Santa Claus on hand, Girls Scout Troops helping with the drives, local law enforcement, the fire department, and Bikers Against Child Abuse, La Petite Academy, Children’s Hospital and much more!

The Rocky Mountain Train Show is a 2-1/2 acre model train extravaganza including 30 operating train layouts, a vast marketplace of trains for sale and a huge kids corner featuring Railroad Story Time, Railroad Theatre, hands-on activities including train races, Kid-in-a Cab, wooden floor trains and our Build-A-Layout program. Extra Fare activities include a ride-on train, railroad portraits and face painting. The show includes clinics to learn new modeling skills and hourly door prizes to include a train set every hour as well as a fabulous train trip to Glenwood Springs. Don’t forget to visit Santa to ask for that train set you’ve always wanted!
