Voters Approve I-25 Construction Project
EL PASO COUNTY, Colo. (CBS4) - Two ballot initiatives in El Paso County were passed that would jumpstart construction on Interstate 25.
Voters approved the measures that would widen the highway in between Monument and Castle Rock.
Neither of the initiatives raise taxes. The county will use excess money already collected for the construction.
Besides widening the highway, the plan is to also add an express lane. Construction could start in 2019.
