Wood Burning Stove Blamed For House Fire
FORT COLLINS, Colo. (CBS4) - Fire investigators in Fort Collins say a wood burning stove was what triggered a house fire early Monday morning.
A family of four was inside and managed to get out in time.
Investigators say excess heat from the stove started the fire in the attic of the two-story home, which is located near the intersection of Cherry Street and College Avenue.
Authorities reminded homeowners to always keep a close eye on wood burning stoves and fireplaces when they are being used.
