(CBS4) - Colorado high school football star and Heisman Trophy finalist Christian McCaffrey announced on Wednesday he's foregoing his senior year at Stanford to enter the NFL Draft.

Last season McCaffrey's performance vaulted him to second in voting for the Heisman Trophy.

Several mock NFL Drafts have McCaffrey being picked late in the first round.
