Couple Wanted In $45,000 Lottery Scam

DOUGLAS COUNTY, Colo. (CBS4)- A couple is on the run, wanted by authorities after allegedly bilking $45,000 from a woman in a lottery prize scam.

Investigators with the Douglas County Sheriff's Office released surveillance video that shows the man and woman accused of scamming a woman.

The female suspect first approached the woman in the 2300 block of East Arapahoe Road on Oct. 20 and said she needed help to claim a lottery prize.

A man then approached them both, saying he would also help. The three got into a vehicle and drove to the Wells Fargo Bank in Southglenn where the victim withdrew $45,000 in cash.

The scammers got away with the money and drove off.
