Most Broncos Fans Not On Board With Romo-To-Denver Talk

DENVER (CBS4/The Sports Xchange) - With rumors circulating that Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo will have a new employer in 2017, CBS4 Sports posed a poll to viewers asking for their thoughts on the idea of him coming to Denver.

As of late Sunday night, the poll had only 31 percent of voters saying the veteran quarterback should be the Broncos quarterback next year. That percentage slipped to under 30 Monday morning in continued voting.

The 36-year-old Romo is reportedly interested in playing for the Broncos if the Cowboys decide to trade him. Romo is officially a backup and said leading up to this week's latest win that rookie quarterback Dak Prescott deserves to be the starter for the 9-1 Cowboys.

Romo has missed the first nine games of the season and is now recovered from an August back injury that opened the door for Prescott to become the starter.

Romo is a four-time pro bowler, but has a history of injury issues.

"Here's the thing about Tony Romo. The Broncos offensive line can't protect Trevor Siemian, and Romo is practically made out of glass," said Michael Spencer of CBS4 Sports.
