Warming Trend Before Fall Chill Finally!

By Dave Aguilera

DENVER (CBS4) - Another ridge of high pressure will be moving in to start the week ahead. This will be warming up the eastern half of Colorado through the middle of the week. Then, it looks like the thing we have been waiting for all month may finally show up!

Monday thru Wednesday will be warm and breezy. This will be feeling nice but, will elevate the fire danger for these days as well. Something to watch out for.

Then we turn our attention to a big dip in the jet stream around a large low pressure trough which is now centered in the gulf of Alaska. This system will be pushing in Thursday bringing in a chance for rain in Denver and possible a rain/snow mix over the Mile High City overnight Thursday into early Friday morning.  Let's hope as we desperately need the moisture!
