Harris Jr.: Broncos No Fly Zone 'Prides Itself On Scoring'

CENTENNIAL, Colo. (CBS4) - One of the charter members of the Broncos "No Fly Zone" -- Chris Harris Jr. -- joined CBS4 Broncos analyst Mark Schlereth and CBS4 sports anchor Michael Spencer for Xfinity Monday Live at the Viewhouse Centennial.

Harris and the Broncos picked up their first divisional win of the season with a 27-19 win over the Chargers on Sunday.

"They're very hot. They kinda have that type of offense that kinda exploited us in the past," said Harris. "So to be able to shut them down and have a day like we did yesterday was very important for us."

The Broncos had three interceptions in the win, including a pick-six from Bradley Roby.

"We pride ourselves in scoring," said Harris.

"If you don't score, we're going to roast you most of the time. It's a big deal for us to try to get in that endzone, and we're just happy to see Roby have some success."

Harris and the Broncos will travel to Oakland Sunday for another big divisional game. The Raiders and Broncos are both 6-2 and tied atop the AFC West standings.

"I think he just has all the confidence in the world in those receivers to make plays," said Harris of Raiders quarterback Derek Carr who is currently 5th in the NFL in passing yards.

The Broncos and Raiders will kick off at 6:25 p.m. Sunday night. It will be the fourth primetime game of the season for the Broncos.

When Harris isn't on the football field, he is hoping to make an impact in the community. On Dec. 19 Chris and his family will host Holidays with the Harrises to benefit the Chris Harris Jr. Foundation which supports children in Denver and Chris' hometown of Tulsa.
