Subaru Recalls 4 Models Due To Fire Concerns

DETROIT (CBS4) - Subaru is recalling more than 100,000 of its cars.

A turbocharger air pump in some of the company's top-selling models can run continuously, possibly overheating and causing fires.

The recall covers 2007 to 2009 Legacy and Outback vehicles, some 2008 to 2015 Impreza models, and certain Foresters from between 2009 and 2013.

All of the cars that are being recalled have turbocharged engines that can cause the pump to run continuously.

Two fires were reported in government documents, but the Associated Press says there is no mention of injuries.

Owners need to contact dealers to get the faulty parts replaced at no cost.
