DENVER (CBS4) – Officials at Denver International Airport are working on a plan to move the security lines into a new area of the “great hall” of the Jeppesen Terminal.
The airport hopes to use some of the current security space for retail and restaurants.
The following images show their concept of what they hope the plan will look like.
The airlines would be moved to one area of Level 6. Then security would take up a large space before allowing passengers to head down to the great hall and the underground trains.
DIA will present the rough draft to the city later this year and construction could take years after that.
Baggage claim wouldn’t move under the plan.
