Cool Down Heading Our Way

By Lauren Whitney

DENVER (CBS4) - Our warm temperatures continued today with highs reaching the upper 70s across the Front Range. Denver officially hit 79 degrees, well above our 68 degree average.

Tomorrow will still be warm, but we'll see more clouds and a chance for rain in the afternoon and evening in Denver. Most of the moisture should stay off to the west or skirt through the northwestern plains. Our next cold front works its way through the state in the afternoon and evening, and behind it is some much colder air.

Wednesday we'll only be in the upper 50s and low 60s, still on the cloudy side with the chance for rain. Not a great chance for rain, but we can't rule out a few showers.

The cool down is very short lived, we're back to the 70s and sunshine on Thursday. We'll be close to 80 again on Friday.
