Soldier Thanks Officer For Plane Ticket To Grandfather's Funeral

DENVER (CBS4)- A young soldier is thanking a Denver police officer for paying for her to fly to her grandfather's funeral.

Officer Henry Jones bought the woman a round-trip ticket to Newport News, Virginia after he learned the single mother had been victimized by a fraudulent booking company.

The airline had no record of her booking a flight. Jones used his own money to buy the ticket so the Army private could fly to the funeral and be with her family.
