Student Critically Injured While Walking To School

AURORA, Colo. (CBS4)– A middle school student in Aurora was critically injured after a car struck him on his way to school on Wednesday.

Two 11-year-old boys were crossing Mississippi at Uvalda Street on Wednesday on their way to Aurora Hills Middle School.

The light changed while they were crossing and a driver struck one of them.

Investigators said the driver did not see the boys and stayed on the scene. The woman has not been cited in the crash.
