GUNNISON, Colo. (CBS4) – Authorities have released the identity of human remains found by hikers west of Gunnison last January.

According to the Gunnison County Sheriff’s Office, the remains belong to 54-year-old Michael David Lewis.

Lewis’ remains were discovered in the Palisade cliffs area on private property on Jan. 17.
