Truck Hauling Ice Cream Crashes, Catches Fire

GEORGETOWN, Colo. (CBS4) – Traffic was stopped in the eastbound lanes of Interstate 70 at Georgetown for more than an hour Thursday due to a crash and fire involving a semi truck.

The crash happened at approximately 4:30 p.m. and the Colorado Department of Transportation tweeted images from the crash scene showing spilled and melted ice cream.

No one was injured in the crash.

    Truckers, you need to learn how to downshift enough that you do not overheat your brakes and lose braking ability. Takes you a only a few minutes more to get down and saves everyonelse hundreds of hours of delay.

    At least he got the truck to the shoulder. How much needless delay was caused by the fire department?
