DENVER (CBS4)– Half of all Frontier Airlines flights scheduled to take off from Denver International Airport on Monday have been delayed up to an hour or more.
According to flightview.com, the Frontier flights scheduled to depart from DIA on Monday have been delayed between 20 minutes and eight hours. Seven of 16 departures were more than an hour delayed.
Hundreds of customers waited in long lines at the Frontier Airlines ticket counter at DIA waiting for information about their flights.
One flight from DIA to Las Vegas was cancelled. The 10:32 a.m. flight to Kansas City was postponed until 6:23 p.m.
Frontier Airlines told CBS4 the reason for the delays was due to weather-related delays on Sunday that have caused a domino effect into Monday. Frontier also blamed some of the delays on late arrivals that caused gate issues at DIA.
Frontier denies the delays are related to a pilot or crew “slowdown.”
