Colorado Remembers 9/11 will include a fire truck from the Pentagon attack, military honors, and steel recovered from the World Trade Center site.

Also taking place on Sept. 11 will be a bell ringing by pilots from the United Airlines and American Airlines Pilots Associations, a remembrance procession, and an interfaith invocation.

Following the ceremony, there will be a free concert featuring John Fogerty and Colorado’s own Big Head Todd and the Monsters to honor our country’s first responders and service men and women.

Gov. John Hickenlooper and Denver Mayor Michael Hancock will host the ceremony.

“Let’s celebrate those men and women who put on their uniform every day to protect our nation and those who respond for us locally, police, fire and paramedics. All those folks who will be running to protect and preserve while we run to protect our lives,” said Hancock.

Colorado Remembers 9/11 is free and open to the public.
