Police Get To Thank Good Samaritan After CBS4 Story
PARKER, Colo. (CBS4) - Parker police wanted to thank a good Samaritan who helped out at the scene of a deadly accident, and after the story aired on CBS4, that man came forward.
Police say Daniel Rhees went above and beyond last weekend helping authorities get to the center of the scene, and even directing traffic while they helped the victims.
A wrong-way driver caused the six-vehicle crash Saturday. That driver died in the crash.
On Thursday the Parker Police Department posted a video on YouTube showing Cmdr. Doreen Jokerst personally thanking Rhees after he showed up at the police station.
The department plans to award Rhees the Citizens Accommodation Award next May.
