Crews Get Quick Handle On Brush Fire Near Sedalia

SEDALIA, Colo. (CBS4) - A wildfire broke out late Saturday afternoon south of Denver and crews quickly got it under control.

The fire was described as being 10 acres in size at 4 p.m. by firefighters, who had it contained in approximately an hour.

It was located near Highway 85 in the Sedalia area, west of Castle Pines and east of Roxborough Park in Douglas County.

At 4 p.m. a plume of smoke could be seen from approximately six miles away.

No one was hurt.

Investigators said a blown electrical transformer sparked the fire.
