C.J. Anderson Shows Why He's One Of The Elite Running Backs

DENVER (CBS4) - The defending champion Denver Broncos showed some vulnerability against the San Francisco 49ers in the first half of their second preseason game.

The Broncos trail the 49ers 17-10 at halftime.

The first half saw good and bad by Broncos. Quarterback Trevor Siemian went 9-10 on the first drive of the game and C.J. Anderson scored a touchdown on a 19-yard run.

Siemian later threw a Pick-6 to the 49ers' Eric Reid and Mark Sanchez took over. On his first drive, Sanchez was able to get the Broncos into field goal range and kicker Brandon McManus nailed a 40-yard field goal.

Wide receiver Jordan Taylor had two impressive receptions in the first half.

Running back Davante Booker, looking to back up C.J. Anderson, carried the bulk of the load in the second quarter.

The Broncos looked like they were going to cash in with under 2 minutes to go in the half but Mark Sanchez was sacked and lost the ball -- the 49ers recovered. But on the next play the Broncos got the ball back on a 49ers fumble. On the next drive Sanchez was once again stripped of the ball and they failed to score.
