Denver Outlaws Go On Crazy Winning Streak To Make Championship Game

DENVER (CBS4) - The Denver Outlaws are headed to the Major League Lacrosse championship game.

The Outlaws had to win their final six regular season games just to make the four-team playoffs.

Taking on the New York Lizards on Saturday in the semi-finals the Outlaws stayed hot. Wes Berg scored a couple second-half goals and the Outlaws won 20-17.

"It was a tremendous effort all over the field by an amazing group of guys that had their backs against the wall to find a way week after week to pull off some victories against some awfully tough teams," Head Coach B.J. O'Hara said on denveroutlaws.com. "They did it again today in some really oppressive heat conditions. I couldn't be more proud."

Next Saturday the Outlaws will play either the Charlotte Hounds or Ohio Machine for their second title in three years.
