Ruling: Man Who Pushed Snowboarder Off Chairlift Insane, Not Guilty

ASPEN, Colo. (CBS4) - A man who pushed a snowboarder off a chairlift at Aspen Highlands has been found not guilty by reason of insanity.

Thomas Proesel will be in the custody of the Colorado Mental Health Institute in Pueblo for the incident that occurred in January.

The snowboarder, Seth Beckton, was uninjured after falling about 25 feet from the chairlift into a pile of fresh powder.

Doctors will evaluate Proesel, and release him when he is found sane.
