Sizzling Temperatures Continue In Colorado

By Lauren Whitney

DENVER (CBS4) - We'll keep sweating in Colorado today! More hot temperatures are on the way this afternoon as we head into the upper 90s! Plenty of sunshine today, but we do have the chance for afternoon thunderstorms here in Denver. Showers and storms could fire up through the late morning and early afternoon for the high country, but Denver may not see any action until later this afternoon and evening. As those storms move east, there is a chance some could turn severe with hail, wind, and heavy rain.

Tomorrow, we stay on the hot side with the chance for afternoon storms that could bring hail and wind. Most of the storms should stay east, but Denver could get a few isolated severe storms as well.

A little break from the heat begins on Thursday as we head down into the low 90s and upper 80s. We'll dry out a bit for Friday and Saturday, but warm back up on Saturday.
