Woman Happy To Get Keys Back After Dozens Found In Stolen Truck

WESTMINSTER, Colo. (CBS4) - At least two keys are now back with the rightful owner after dozens were found inside a stolen work truck.

Nikki Ozzello had her truck stolen and police in Commerce City police found it. When she got it back she found a number of keys. That worried her because all the people missing important ways to enter important places.

"I just figure if I can find one person, if I can give one person their key back, then right on, I did a good thing," Ozzello said.

Cassandra Montgomery recognized her Tweety Bird key chain in a CBS4 story.

"I couldn't believe it, because when they disappeared, we've been sitting here trying to save up the money to buy more keys for it (her freezer)," she said.

One key was for her freezer stored in a carport with hundreds of dollars of food inside.

"We've got chicken in there, we've got lobster in there, we've got some meat in there," Montgomery said.

She says the thieves took her keys when she was shopping at King Soopers. She put her purse in the cart and turned her back. The thieves left all her other keys in her purse, just taking the ones to the food freezer and an old tractor she no longer has. It's that food locker key she really needed back.

"That lobster has my name written all over it. I'm going to sit down and have a beautiful dinner," she said.
