Paxton Lynch, Other Rookies React To Their Madden NFL 17 Ratings

By Ryan Mayer

The NFL season is nearly upon us as training camps begin for some teams at the end of this week. That means it's nearly time for the release of one of America's favorite video games: Madden. Every season, part of the fun of this time of year is finding out what the developers at EA Sports, makers of the Madden NFL series, have decided to "rate" the incoming class of rookies.

The top 10 ratings for this year's rookie class were officially released on the EA Sports site yesterday. The company also released a video on YouTube featuring various rookies guessing at what some of their ratings in the game would be. One of the featured rookies is new Denver Broncos QB Paxton Lynch, who was asked what he thinks his speed rating would be in the game.

Lynch, believing that he's got some good speed, is pretty clearly disappointed by the fact that he was given a 79 as his speed rating by the EA developers.

During NFL Combine testing Lynch ran the 40-yard-dash in a respectable 4.86 seconds. Between the slight against his speed and him not being named on that Top 10 rookie ratings list, Lynch has plenty of motivation heading into the season.
