Senate Hopeful Blaha May Be Back On GOP Senate Ballot

DENVER (AP) — Republican U.S. Senate hopeful Robert Blaha might appear on the party's Colorado primary in June.

It's uncertain if fellow candidate Ryan Frazier will.

A Denver judge ruled Wednesday that Blaha may have collected enough voter signatures to place him on the party's primary ballot.

She ordered the state's top elections official to accept signatures that had been deemed invalid and, if the totals meet state requirements, that Blaha appear on the June 28 ballot.

District Court Judge Elizabeth Starrs also ordered Secretary of State Wayne Williams to accept voter signatures handed in by Frazier's campaign. But she left open the possibility that Frazier still didn't qualify.

Both Blaha and Frazier argued that Williams, a Republican, erroneously rejected voter signatures they needed to make the June 28 primary.

The secretary of state's office said late Wednesday it had yet to certify that Blaha had qualified after the ruling.
