3 Arrested In Benihana Parking Lot Shooting
DENVER (CBS4)- Three suspects have been arrested in connection with the attempted robbery and shooting that happened last month in the parking lot of the Benihana restaurant near South Tamarac Drive.
The adult male victim, who has not been identified, survived his injuries after he was shot several times.
The shooting happened just before 2 p.m. April 21 outside the Tamarac Shopping Center located at East Hampden Avenue and South Tamarac Drive.
Police in Denver, along with the assistance of the Douglas County Sheriff's Office, arrested two suspects in connection with that shooting during a SWAT situation.
Keason White-Johnson, 18, and Brian Garner, 19, were arrested in the 4900 block of Tarcoola Lane in Highlands Ranch during the SWAT operation.
The third suspect, Melvin Lawrence, 23, was arrested on Monday in Denver.
All three suspects are being held for investigation of criminal attempt first-degree murder, first-degree assault and criminal attempt aggravated robbery.
