"The driver of that vehicle continues down West 14th Avenue to the area of 14th and Saulsbury where he fled from the vehicle on foot and entered a building in the area," said Lakewood Police Sgt. T.J. Jacobsen.

Police followed the suspect to the building at 14th and Saulsbury where the suspect started a fire. Two people and two dogs were inside.

"It was crazy, it went up really fast," said witness Tony Cofran.

Everyone inside was able to escape the flames.

Copter4 flew over the scene where fire damage was visible.

The suspect was arrested a short time later. During that arrest another agent was injured.

"It went on for about a half hour and then you see the guy go running out, he ran about halfway down the block before the police tackled him," said Cofran.

Both Lakewood police agents were rushed to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
