Caught On Video: Snowmobiler Alive After Triggering, Riding Avalanche
VAIL PASS, Colo. (CBS4) - Video shows a snowmobiler triggering an avalanche on Vail Pass.
The slide happened in the Shrine Ridge area last month. The video shows a snowmobiler riding up a ridge and he realizes he triggered an avalanche and rides on the slab.
The rider ended up dropping into the crevice left behind by the avalanche but then the force of the snow slide caused him to roll down the mountain.
The man walked away without being seriously injured.
