Broncos Agree To Terms With Unrestricted Free Agent Jared Crick

ENGLEWOOD, Colo. (CBS4)- The Denver Broncos have agrees to terms with unrestricted free agent defensive end Jared Crick on a two-year contract.

The Broncos made the announcement on Wednesday morning. Crick is a fifth-year player who appeared in 63 regular season games during his first four NFL seasons with the Houston Texans. He was selected by Houston in the fourth round of the 2012 NFL Draft from the University of Nebraska.

Crick owns 146 career tackles (81 solo) to go along with 5.5 sacks (34 yds.), 13 passes defensed, one forced fumble and two fumble recoveries. He also saw action in three career postseason contests (1 start) for the Texans.

During the last two seasons, Crick started 31-of-32 games for Houston and ranked second among the team's defensive linemen during that period with 104 tackles (57 solo), 5.5 sacks and eight passes defensed.

An All-Big 12 Conference selection at Nebraska, Crick appeared in 42 games (33 starts) for the Cornhuskers and finished his collegiate career ranked eighth on the school's all-time sack list with 20 quarterback takedowns.

Crick attended Cozad (Neb.) High School and was born on Aug. 21, 1989, in Albuquerque, N.M.
