Former Bronco Omar Bolden Signs With Bears

LAKE FOREST, Ill. (AP) — The Chicago Bears agreed to a one-year contract with former Denver Broncos safety and special-teams contributor Omar Bolden on Thursday.

Bolden played for Bears coach John Fox in Denver and spent the past four seasons with the Broncos.

He played in just nine regular-season games last year and suffered a season-ending right knee injury in the divisional playoffs against Pittsburgh after missing the final four regular-season games because of a hamstring injury.

Bolden played in 56 games with one start over four seasons in Denver and had 27 special-teams stops to go with 24 defensive tackles.

Bolden also had 44 kickoff returns for 1,085 yards and five punt returns for 123 yards and a touchdown.
