Denver Rescue Mission Continues Good Friday Tradition
DENVER (CBS4)- The Denver Rescue Mission continued its Good Friday tradition of washing the feet of the homeless.
Volunteers at the shelter washed the feet of about 50 people on Friday. It's a symbolic gesture that is part of the Easter story the mission has been acting out for about 20 years.
About 870 people who went to the mission on Friday was also treated to a brand new pair of socks and shoes along with an Easter brunch.
