Suspects, Liquor Store Owner Exchange Gunfire

DENVER (CBS4)- Police in Denver have captured all five suspects after they and a liquor store owner exchanged gunfire late Monday night.

The robbery turned shooting happened in the 1800 block of South Sheridan near Jewell at a liquor store.

Police rushed to the business where the suspects had already run away. Officers caught up to them at Raritan and Cedar when they pulled over the vehicle with the suspects inside.

Police say there were three males and two females, some of them juveniles. One suspect was shot in the leg and taken to the hospital.

It is unclear whether the suspects had more than one weapon during the robbery.
